"Ever since that day… I haven't been able to keep my mind off him" Gokudera laid lazily on his bed. His strong arms were in a relaxed position above his head acting as his pillow. He looked up at the ceiling. "Sawada Tsunayoshi, Vongola Juudaime…"  The silver haired boy rolled over and buried his head deep within his bed sheets.
When Gokudera lost to Tsuna that day he didn't expect to have feelings for him. The teen sat up. He couldn't get the young bosses timid smile out of his head. The silver haired teen got off his bed and walked over to his door pausing just before leaving his room. "It's better if he never knows these feelings." He decided pulling out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from his pocket. He lit one and placed it stubbornly in his mouth before leaving his room.
It was raining when Gokudera got outside.  He mentally kicked himself for being too stubborn to buy an umbrella; he stood in the rain while he took long drags on his cigarette. "Hey what are you doing in the rain Gokudera?" Said teen looked up so see the bright smile of Yamamoto beaming at him. "Great it's the baseball idiot." Gokudera thought to himself as he glared at the carefree teen standing before him.
"Why don't you have an umbrella?" Yamamoto asked Gokudera. "Why do you keep asking me all these questions?" He snapped back pulling out another cigarette from his pocket. He fiddled around with his lighter but the rain was to strong. The silver haired teen flicked the lighter over and over willing it to light, but it wouldn't. He finally gave up tossing the lighter at Yamamoto's head. "It's your stupid fault it's not lighting" Gokudera yelled at the baseball fan. Yamamoto sighed and grabbed the silver haired boy's hand. The silver haired boy pulled back. "What are you doing" He hissed at the boy.
Yamamoto just smiled. "You don't have anything to do right?" The baseball nut pulled out a spare umbrella and handed it to the other boy. "All you have to do is walk with me and I'll give you the umbrella and you will be able to light up another cig." Gokudera glared and snatched the umbrella from Yamamoto. "Fine…" he growled opening the umbrella defensively.  "Great!" Yamamoto cheered and started walking.  The silver hair teen walked over to the lighter he had tossed at Yamamoto and light up a cigarette before catching up with the other boy.
There was a long awkward silence as the two teens walked down the street. The only sound was that of their feet hitting the wet ground.  Gokudera had gone through 3 cigarettes and he was about to pull out a fourth when Yamamoto finally spoke.  "So are you going to tell me what's wrong?" Yamamoto asked looking over at the other teen. Gokudera glared ahead lighting up a fourth cig. Before he could light it however, Yamamoto grabbed it from his mouth and tossed it o the ground.
"Damn it stupid baseball idiot, why did you do that?" He growled at the boy, anger building in his chest.  "Because you know it makes Tsuna sad." He replied, hinting at Gokudera that he knew all about his little crush on their boss. Gokudera felt his stomach jump into his throat. He couldn't possibly know…could he? Yamamoto sensing the other boy tension, spoke up "Gokudera you can't hide it, I see the way you look at him." The silver haired boy glared up at the taller boy. "What do you want?"
Yamamoto blinked. "What?"  Gokudera raised his eyebrow at the stupid look on Yamamoto's face. "Aren't you black mailing me?" Yamamoto's eyes got bigger. "What! Of course not, I'm offering help!" Gokudera stared at the boy dumbly. "What?" Yamamoto smiled. "I want to help you get Tsuna." He said cheerfully in the way that made Gokuderas inside cringe. All he could do was stare at the beaming boy in front of him.
"What makes you think I'm going to let you help me?" Gokudera said coldly turning his back to Yamamoto. "Because if you don't I will" He replied calmly shrugging his shoulders as he did so.  "You wouldn't dare!" The young bomber yelled running up to Yamamoto, grabbing him by his collar, and lifting him into the air. "Well then let me help" He wheezed, grabbing Gokuderas hands in hopes to ease his grip. Sighing Gokudera eased his grip on the baseball fan. "Well, what do you have in mind?" He asked giving into Yamamoto.
Yamamoto smiled. "Try showing him how nice you can be?" Gokudera stared at the boy like he was the stupidest human in the world. "I AM NICE...to him at least." Yamamoto laughed. "Show him how nice you are to others!" The silver haired boy glared at Yamamoto. "I hate everyone else…" He spoke through gritted teeth. "Try something else…" The bomber crossed his arms stubbornly.
"Well have you tried simply telling him your feelings?" The baseball fan asked shrugging. Gokudera looked shocked. He blushed deeply and turned his back on the taller boy. "Don't say stupid things…" He said angrily. "I couldn't possibly confess my feelings for him!" "What if things get awkward or he thinks I'm disgusting." He sighed kicking a small rock across the street.  "Yeah that's the worst that could happen but, what is he says yes?" Yamamoto put his hand on Gokudera shoulder.
Gokudera turned around slowly. "I can't…" His voice was sad. Yamamoto laughed at the teen. Gokudera glared at the boy blushing in embarrassment. "WHAT!? Why are you laughing?" He yelled. Yamamoto struggled to stop laughing. "Y..You sounded…like a girl just now!" He choked out. The silver haired boy seethed with hatred for Yamamoto. "Tomorrow' tell him how you feel. I'll make sure that you two have a moment alone together tomorrow at school." The baseball fan said running off so Gokudera didn't have a chance to argue. Gokudera Brought another cigarette to his lips and lit it.
He took a long drag then sighed. Smoke danced around his face. "What have I gotten myself into?" He asked himself as he walked back to his house.
Gokudera walked slowly to his room practicing what he might say to Tsuna the next day. He sat on his bed and looked up towards his ceiling. "What am I going to do?" He asked himself lying down. "Best not to think about it tell it happens I guess." He decided setting his alarm clock and going to sleep.
The next day Gokudera walked over to Tsuna house like he did every day. He wondered what Yamamoto was planning. The anticipation was killing him. The teen walked up to Tsuna's front door and knocked.  A woman opened the door. "Hello Gokudera kun!" She said happily. "Hello mama!" He answered. "Tsu kun will be down in a second." Mama said stepping aside to let the silver haired boy into the house. Gokudera smiled and sat down, waiting for Tsuna.
Moments later the young Vongola boss ran down the stairs and quickly put on his shoes and grabbed his school bags. "Good morning Juudaime!" Gokudera greeted the brunette boy. "Oh Good morning Gokudera kun." Tsuna said smiling at the teen. Gokudera felt warm and happy when Tsuna smiled at him. That smile was for him, and just for him. He smiled back. The two boys left Tsuna's house and started to walk to school. "Have you seen Yamamoto?" Tsuna asked the bomber.
Gokudera felt his stomach jump p to his chest. Yamamoto was probably taking another route to school, giving the two the chance to be alone. Kyoko and Tsuna had gone through a terrible break a few months ago up so she wouldn't get in his way. "Uh Juudaime?" Gokudera started. "Yes?" Tsuna stopped walking and faced the pianist. Gokudera sighed. "I need to tell you something… and I need you to hear me out ok?" Tsuna blinked and looked at Gokudera. "Hello Hayato." Gokudera turned around to see Bianchi standing staring at him.
Gokudera fell to his knees grabbing at his aching stomach. "Sister?" He managed to choke out. "Hayato Yamamoto told me to tell you to confess now since you and Tsuna are alone." She said. "Oh I'm so glad my little brother found someone!" She cried out, dramatically placing her hand over her heart and prancing off. Gokudera felt even sicker. Did she really just say that in front of Tsuna?!
"Gokudera kun…What was she talking about?" The silver haired boy stood up slowly. "Yamamoto told me to confess my feelings for you." He said slowly. "Juudaime…no Tsuna… I love you." He said slowly. Gokudera kept his eyes on the boy. Tsuna smiled. "Gokudera kun, I like you and everything…but as a friend. I don't like boys in that way, but thank you for telling me…that took a lot of courage." Gokudera smiled. "I'm sorry Juudaime I don't know what came over me." He closed his eyes and ran the rest of the way to school.
Gokudera sat next to Yamamoto. "Well?" The baseball fan asked. "He…Said no." Gokudera smiled. "But I'll be ok." He lied. Yamamoto put his hand on Gokuderas shoulder. "At least you were brave and told him, he needed to know." Yamamoto tried to comfort the guardian of storm. "Yeah…" Gokudera stared out towards the door thinking about the dull pain in his chest only known as unrequited love.
